Hardware Requirements (Android Studio)

The following are hardware requirements for each developer device for several operating systems:

Windows
》 MicrosoftR WindowsR 7/8/10 (32-or 64-bit).
 》Minimum 3GB RAM, 8GB recommended RAM; Add 1 GB for Android Emulator.
》 Minimum available disk space is 2 GB. 4 GB (500MB for IDE + 1.5GB for Android SDK and image emulator system) is recommended.
》 Minimum screen resolution of 1280 x 800.
》 For acceleration emulators: 64-bit operating systems and IntelR processors with support for IntelR VT-x, IntelR EM64T (IntelR 64), and Execute Disable (XD) Bit functionality.

Mac
》 MacR OS XR 10.10 (Yosemite) or higher, up to 10.12 (macOS Sierra).
Minimum Minimum 3GB RAM, 8GB recommended RAM, plus 1GB for Android Emulator.
》 Minimum available disk space is 2 GB. 4 GB (500MB for IDE + 1.5GB for Android SDK and image emulator system) is recommended.
》 Minimum screen resolution of 1280 x 800

Linux
》 The GNOME or KDE desktop. It has been tested on UbuntuR 12.04, Precise Pangolin (64-bit and 32-bit distribution).
64 64-bit distribution that is capable of running 32-bit applications.
》 GNU C Library (glibc) 2.19 or later.
Minimum Minimum 3GB RAM, 8GB recommended RAM; Add 1 GB for Android Emulator.
》 Minimum available disk space is 2 GB. 4 GB (500MB for IDE + 1.5GB for Android SDK and image emulator system) is recommended.
